Bringing Home Briton

Last night at church we received some much-needed encouragement.

Over the past several weeks, without having heard any news specific to our case in months and with Kim Jung Un threatening the peace on the Korean peninsula, I progressively became more and more discouraged, almost despondent concerning our adoption process.  It became increasingly more difficult to make it through each day, being asked the same questions by concerned friends and family and only able to give the same uninformative, unsatisfactory answers.

However, last night during a particularly powerful service I was reminded of God's goodness.  As Mike and I went up to pray for Briton, the adoption, and the political situation in Korea, the presence of God was so strong, and the doubt, worry, and discouragement began to fade away.  Pastor Mike then had the entire congregation gather around us to lift us up in prayer; it was such a powerful time of prayer, and a peace that passes all understanding settled over us.  God reminded us that He is in control, and He is working in our situation.  We can't wait to see what God is going to do in the coming days...so stay tuned in! :)
