Ways You Can Help

Prayer
International adoption is a long, drawn-out process with a lot of waiting, which can be extremely frustrating.  Please be in prayer with us for the following needs as we continue to wait:

  • Paperwork--the South Korean government is in the process of changing their  international adoption laws, which has made an already slow process even slower.  We ask for specific prayer that our paperwork moves quickly and efficiently and is accepted without any hiccups or delays.
  • Emigration permit--we can't receive travel plans until an emigration permit is issued.  Please be in prayer for Briton's emigration permit to be issued in a timely manner from the South Korean government.
  • Transition from foster family to us --we are thrilled that Briton is with a nice Korean foster family right now; however, the longer it takes for all of our paperwork to clear and for us to get travel plans, the more attached he will be to his foster mom and dad, making the transition more difficult.  Please join us in praying for the well-being of Briton and his current foster family, as well as his transition to our family.
  • Financing--there are many financial difficulties when adopting, and while God has provided for us in each stage of our adoption journey, we still have many financial challenges ahead.  We pray that God will grant favor in our situation and continue to provide for our adoption as He already has.

Financial Assistance
This entire process has been a bit overwhelming for us; however, we have been blessed by all the support from family and friends.

If you would like to help financially by donating, our church has set up an adoption fund for us.  Make checks payable to River of Life Church; Memo - Whitescarver Adoption Fund
